Policies

All students (newly admitted and re-enrolling) and their parents are required to annually acknowledge their willingness to abide by the policies of the Parent-Student Handbook and the technology Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) as a condition of Berean enrollment.

Parent-Student Handbook
The Parent-Student Handbook (link available below) was designed to maximize students' opportunities to develop in Berean's core values and ideals in their lives. It is a guide for growth and success at BCHS, and a common frame of reference between BCHS, parents, and students. The standards, policies and procedures, which are not meant to be burdensome, are necessary to insure a common ground for all. We believe they will preserve equity and order in our school and develop Christ-honoring character traits in students' lives, enabling them to become more like Jesus.

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
The purpose of the AUP (link available under About/iPad Program) is to ensure an information technology infrastructure that promotes the basic missions of BCHS in teaching, learning, and administration. In particular, this policy aims to promote the following goals:
  • To ensure the integrity, reliability, availability, and superior performance of IT Systems;
  • To ensure the use of Berean's IT Systems is consistent with the principles and values governing use of school facilities and services;
  • To ensure Berean's IT Systems are used for their intended purposes; and to establish processes for addressing policy violations and sanctions for violators.

Non-Discriminatory Practices
Berean Christian High School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid programs, athletic and other school-administered programs.
