Last week we packed ten charter buses with all our students, staff, and some of our parents, and headed to Woodleaf - Young Life Camp, in Challenge, CA. Those three days were filled with fun activities, games, surprises, and great times of worship and listening to God's Word. All School retreat is a Berean Christian tradition, and all of us, students, staff, and parents, look forward to it every year.
These three days have an immense impact in the atmosphere of the school, creating opportunities for students form different grades, and with different interests, to interact and develop friendships that otherwise would not flourish. It is especially meaningful to our Freshman Class, as they are just three days into their High School life when we go to the retreat. They might head to the retreat as strangers, but definitely come back as friends.
This year, we had a very especial moment, when all students gathered by the pool to see one student being baptized. It was a time filled with joy and celebration. A reminder of why Berean Christian exists. Our highest desire is to see our students living a life as followers of Christ. It is to walk with, guide, teach, and encourage them
